NASSAU, Bahamas Despite his popularity among fans and his ability to reach a younger audience, Rickie Fowler's resume remains relatively thin for a player of his prominence, with just four official PGA Tour victories. His last victory of any kind came last year at the Hero World Challenge. On Wednesday, when he was asked to describe what a successful year means to him, Fowler explained the reality that every player not named Tiger Woods faces.I want to win more. If I went off of my checklist or what I ultimately want to do, I haven't had a successful season, Fowler said.

So I want to win more majors, I want to win more golf tournaments. But in golf, other than Tiger winning at a 30 percent win rate, that doesn't just happen.During the 2017-18 season, Fowler recorded six top-10 finishes, was runner-up at the Masters, missed just three cuts in 20 starts and qualified for both the Tour Championship and the U.S. Ryder Cup team.He also pointed out that winning, particularly winning that elusive first major, is always his top priority, but working to improve each season remains his primary focus. You have to kind of look at the glass half-full, especially if you're talking about staying motivated and keep wanting to move forward. If you look at the negatives or downside of not winning, man, it's going to be a long road, he said.
