At just 24 years old, Jordan Spieth has already captured three legs of the career grand slam and is already dabbling in course design.Per Golfweek, the University of Texas Golf Club is set to open the "Spieth Lower 40," a six-hole par-3 course designed by Roy Bechtol with input from Spieth, the former Longhorn.Most of the people that have gone down and seen it are over-the-top excited about it, Texas men's golf coach John Fields told Golfweek. I know that Jordan has been enamored with it.The holes play from 80 to 125 yards, with the sixth featuring a pot bunker in the middle of green, a nod to sixth hole at Riviera, where Spieth and the Longhorns captured the 2012 NCAA Championship.As for the course's unsual name, the report explains "the term 'Forty Acres' is used colloquially to refer to the Texas campus as whole. It also happens that 40 years passed between national championships for the mens golf team: 1972 to 2012."
